Like any other time of year, we're beginning to look forward to a season change. And I have already been planning how I will turn a ton of my recent purchases into spring ready wear. If there is one thing you should know about Kentucky (and probably a lot of places this year), you really can't move too many pieces in and out of your closet to store seasonally. Since fall, I have kept anything from tanks to coats fully stocked in my closet. Mostly because the only sure thing is a HOT, HUMID summer. I basically just find ways to work those spring pants into winter and that winter sweater into spring, to save a little room and money. That usually ends up looking something like the pictures you just scrolled through, and it works out pretty well for me.

These pants are just cool in case you hadn't caught on. I can quickly throw them on with a basic sweatshirt and tennies, or even easier with just a gray or white tee shirt-- it's okay to take the basic route sometimes. And perfectly enough, they are just as effortless to spice up with a sweater and heels. Although heels are not an everyday item for me, they are a necessity in my closet (for different occasions) and I still like styling them for you all to add in looks for wherever you may need help.

Anthropologie items are generally a splurge from me but I can confidently say I have never been disappointed with anything I purchased from there. A quick hint: it is not practical to buy every item from there, especially basics (at least if you are anything like me-- in college with no steady income at the moment). However, I often look for fashion inspiration or new styles/items they put out that catch my eye because they have unique things that are kind of trendy but still timeless, if that makes sense. I then see if I can find something similar (more in my budget) or maybe just restyle something that is already in my closet. . .  Just as you may do from looking at and reading my posts. So my point on this Anthro rant is to highly recommend these pants lol. I just got them in January but they were a hot item, I suppose, as they are sold out there already. Luckily found them at Nordstrom, and they look a little shorter on the model but for reference I am about 5'3 and you can see where they hit me here as well as in a previous post. My favorite thing about these pants is that they were made here in the U.S., yay! Anthropologie carries a ton of that brand (Stateside) and I love it.

The shoes and purse are both Bedstu, and I love their "Teak Rustic" (brown) leather. The leather is exceptional quality, and most things are generally in classic styles. That means they are always and will always be perfectly on trend! Even better, the shoes are on major sell right now and you can shop below!

This outfit as a whole is sleek with that subtle touch of rustic leather that gives it a really cool feel. You can't go wrong with this as a work look (if appropriate) for a smooth transition 'fit into the spring season. You still get the warmth of a sweater but the fresh new look with these cropped pants and open toed shoes.

Also, sorry and not sorry if you are bored with the same pair of pants posted close together. I think it's realistic to re-wear items you spend decent money on, plus I'd also like to think that you all would want to know how you could get your wear out of something if you plan to buy it. Until next time, shop all the items by clicking the images or links below.
