Super Star

I have been styling my pants in various ways, and especially loving how it worked out with this starry sweatshirt. Now these pants aren’t the warmest so I wouldn’t go out in the snow but this sweatshirt is perfect anytime of day, no matter the weather. I know I mix trendy pieces into my wardrobe but I try to do it artfully enough that my outfit doesn’t scream trendy and I can use the piece after the trend is gone. Like some wide-leg pants are truly just trendy- in a couple years one might look back and ask why they wore them. But these I have no doubt are versatile enough and will make it past the trend. Anthropologie is good at that- making trendy ideas into timeless pieces.

Stars are all the range in patterns at the moment too but Madewell always manages to add the perfect detail that keeps you fashionable but somehow totally simple. Both Anthro and Madewell know how to put the perfect twist on fashionable closet staples. 

You can wear these pieces over and over again with almost anything in your closet. They are both so comfortable and add a little something to an everyday basic top or bottom. This outfit in particular is a bit loud but honestly I am loving it, I just couldn’t wait to wear two of my favorite new pieces, and they worked out just fine for a fun everyday look.

You may have seen these cute slip-on sneakers on my IG feed. I had my eye on them for months, convincing myself I didn’t need them but I ended up getting them for my birthday thanks to my sweet sister. I buy a lot of that blush color but, hey, it works great as a neutral and these fun tennies go with so much. I think you’d love to add them to your shoe collection for spring and summer!

It’s another snow day for me here in Kentucky. Wondering if I am ever going to finish up how to be a nurse lol! Not complaining though, my life will slow way down once I  get back to it. Wish me luck!
