Working on my Fitness
Here's to my first athletic outfit! Also, I have been into Fabletics for a while now and this is my favorite piece (top) that I have gotten so far. I wore it with my Lululemon pants that I love because the weight of these pieces are perfect for the weather we've been having here in KY. Having fun outfits to wear makes getting to the gym, studio, or outside for a run a whole lot easier.
I have no science on specific foods and certain intake each day, but I thought I would share some of the things I eat and a couple things I mix up in working out. I'll be the first to admit that I am often inconsistent, but I try to do a little something every day. On days I am really serious about wanting to workout I do a warm up on high incline walking for about 10 minutes, about three sets of six to eight arm or leg work outs (depending on the day), and mix in back and ab workouts in there. After that I try to run a mile or so. I LOVE yoga and enjoy going to classes but I've been so busy that I haven't been going in the last little bit. Anyway, I try to mix that in once a week and I also do Zumba once a week.
Diet wise I eat two eggs and have a cup of coffee for breakfast. For lunch and dinner I usually eat some type of chicken and veggie dish or a smoothie (interchangeably). Throughout the day I snack on fruit, rice cakes, peanut butter rolled into a wheat tortilla, and tea or sometimes another cup of coffee. My smoothie usually consists of a combination of three fruits, an equal amount of greens (either spinach or kale), coconut water, water or milk, and a scoop of Trader Joe's whey protein.
In the last couple of weeks I've tried to adopt some good workout habits for stress relief purposes. I have been unbelievably overwhelmed, stressed and not taking care of my body the way I should so this is where I am and what I am doing. . . Just wanted to share it with y'all!
