Embellished Denim Jacket
I don't mean to boast, but I got this little detailed denim jacket for $2 . . . it's natural to be jealous. I love the embroidered denim thing going on, but for my taste it needed to be subtle-- and I found just that. I picked this number up while working with those two sweet little girls for Empower You Series (refer to post under Miscellaneous content), which is just another reason that experience was equally rewarding for me!
I knew I wanted to layer this jacket with a button up at some point but I didn't think about owning a plain white button up until I received one in my StitchFix box. The one I received was fabulous, but a tad expensive and just not exactly what I wanted in a plain button up. However, StitchFix did open my eyes to the fact that I wanted one and actually needed just a white button up in the first place. For me it wasn't/isn't an easy item to stumble upon. . . sure you can settle (as with anything) but I wanted one that is appealing as it is practical and comfortable. I didn't want something stiff because I wanted to layer it easily-- besides, who wants to be uncomfortable? After searching looks, fit, and prices I met my match at Garnet Hill (which has just as amazing clothing as they do bedding)!
At the end of the day, this is a super cas outfit for a super cas girl, but I still want the option to wear this shirt however I decide, and I am super happy with it! This outfit is fun, perfect for the few cool spring days we still have ahead, and I plan to transition this on into summer nights with a black denim skirt. Oh, and only one week (exactly) left of this semester. . But who's counting?
I've left you some shopping details below to mimic this look!
