I like to think of myself as a well balanced person in most of my life. I try to treat my body good but also eat the things I like.  I make school a priority over most of my life (not so good) but also find a little time to do the things I enjoy. I pay my bills and eat first, then shop haha. I find a good balance between inexpensive and good quality clothing. And to the point, I think of myself as staying on trend but my closet is home to a ton of timeless items.

These two simple, everyday pieces worked perfectly when a jumpsuit was the only version of pants available to me at the time. Sometimes you've just got to make do lol. That is one way that keeping only trendy clothes can hurt ya, so I am always appreciative of my less wow pieces as well. I have done this sort of thing with a couple of my jumpsuits before just to get some more wear out of them. Short, boxy tops work best but if you have a normal plain tee, then tying it in a little knot to the side will do the trick (see, now you're on trend with your everyday clothes). This top wasn't my favorite to wear alone with these "pants" because I couldn't tuck it in but I still needed to break it up. I fixed that by grabbing this old crew neck to tie around my waist. I think it made the sweetest laid back 'fit, and it was darn comfortable too!

Now to the main reason I am writing this post: the shoes. Best purchase of 2018, and even if they are more than you might pay for a slip on shoe, I am telling you they are worth it. . . I wear them constantly because they fit like a glove and NEVER hurt my feet. Like to the point that if they weren't perforated I would wear them to clinical (nursing) and to work when I'm a real nurse lol. My sister found the silver (pewter) from Olive and Dori out of California (she ordered from them, may take a bit longer than usual but she had a great experience and they have TONS of colors). . . shop here. I am also obsessed with this brand's rain boots. . . I wanted a pair about 2 years ago but they were sold out everywhere (very few places carried them). Still having a bit of the same problem with my color and size but since they are on my wish list I will link them too ;)

P.S. I deeply apologize for messing up my consistent Wednesday posts. Life gets in the way, moving faster than I can keep up sometimes. Unfortunately, that means that the future-determining obligations of my life trump my hobbies (that I love and wish I had more time for). However, I think if you're a practical, hardworking person then you understand where I am coming from.
